Ultimate Guide to create Stone Bricks in Minecraft

By Mohammad Shreim

We will learn how to craft and create all types of stone bricks in this blog, including where to get the resources, which tools we will use, and everything else we need to know to create stone bricks.

First and foremost, stone bricks are suitable for construction! As if you could build a beautiful and strong home to sleep in at night without being killed by other night mobs.

There are 5 types of stone bricks:

  1. Stone bricks

Except for the end stone, they are all made of stone.

To make any type of these stone bricks, we need one main tool: the furnace.

We need stones and they are naturally available in the world, in mountains, and hills, underground, underwater, etc.

Cobblestones are produced when stones are broken with a pickaxe; in this case, a furnace is required. You must build the furnace and fill it with the fuel of any kind, such as wood, lava, coal, etc.

These types of stone bricks can be found in specific locations throughout the world

Strongholds, igloo basements, jungle temples, ocean ruins, and ruined portals: you can find all types of stone bricks in these locations, but you will not find the end bricks, as they are only generated in the end portal.

Strongholds: Underground end portals

Ruined portals: found on the ground or underwater

These are how they look, and to get any of these stone bricks,  you need a pickaxe. If you loot them with your hands, you will not get anything.

So after putting the cobblestones in the furnace and turning them into stones, you have two options: a crafting table or a stone cutter.

Both methods will yield the same outcome, but using the stone cutter is much simpler than using a crafting table—and a crafting table is much simpler to make as well!

The stone cutter needs three stones and one iron ingot, as you can see in the image above.

Now we’ll look at how you can transform your stone into the type of stone brick you desire.

  • So we will start from the stone brick here. You just need 4 stones and a crafting table in order to create 4 stone bricks, while you can use the stone cutter to make as much as you want. You can make 1, 3, or any number you want using the same number of stones. For example, if you want to create 15  stone bricks, then you need to get 15 stones to make this work.

Only stone can be used to make the two main types of stone bricks.

  • Cracked stone bricks need a furnace to be crafted; you have to put your stone brick inside the furnace with any kind of fuel (coal, lava, wood, etc.). This is not possible in a stone cutter. And you can find this type of brick stone in the locations mentioned above.

  • Mossy stone bricks need vines or mossy blocks; you can find the vines in the mossy locations and in the forest trees, while mossy blocks are mostly under the ground in the caves,  where you can find a lot of mossy stuff and even some vines.

This is how they look in the forest or under the ground. The vines can be found in a variety of habitats, not just forests.

  • Chiseled stone bricks need 2 slab stone bricks to create 1 chiseled stone block, and to get 2 slab stone bricks, you should use the crafting table or the stone cutter to make this happens. You need 3 stone bricks to create 6 slab stone bricks on the crafting table, or just one stone brick to make two stone slabs.

After creating the slab stone bricks, you have to put them inside the crafting table and put two slab stone bricks together to create one chiseled stone block.

  • End stone bricks are the last type of stone bricks. You have to go to the end portal, where you will find the end blocks anywhere, and you need 4 blocks of end blocks to create 4 end stone bricks.
